Sephora Americas announced Artemis Patrick has been promoted to general manager of Sephora inside J. C. Penney, the company's joint initiative with J. C. Penney Company, Inc. that includes more than 300 locations. Patrick has been at Sephora since 2006, serving in leadership roles at sephora.com. In her new role, she reports to Satish Malhotra, senior vice president of Sephora Operations and Sephora inside J. C. Penney, and succeeds Philippe Pinatel, who has assumed the position of senior vice president, country manager of Sephora Canada.
Malhotra said, “Artemis is a deeply experienced and talented retail industry executive, who has made outstanding contributions at Sephora since joining our company six years ago. Sephora inside J. C. Penney has been a highly successful initiative. With the transformation of J.C. Penney that is now underway, we look forward to its continued growth as part of the new J.C. Penney store experience that is being created. Artemis is the ideal person to lead this business at this exciting juncture.”

Patrick most recently served as vice president, e-commerce merchandising at Sephora Americas. Prior to Sephora, she was senior e-commerce manager at Peet’s Coffee & Tea and, and was previously Web merchandise manager at Restoration Hardware. She had also been a buyer for Bluelight.com, which was an online division of Kmart, as well as for Red Envelope Gifts Online. Additionally, she spent two years in inventory planning and procurement at DFS Group, a travel retail business that is part of LVMH, Sephora’s parent company.
