New Marketing Management, Global Colour Ambassador for La Prairie

La Prairie announced several senior-level personnel changes within the company’s global marketing department, as well as a new global colour ambassador for the brand.
Effective June 2012, Raychel Wade assumed the role of global colour ambassador for La Prairie. Since fall 2009, she has been functioning as the North America colour ambassador for the brand, collaborating on color collections, traveling nationwide for in-store appearances and functioning as the brand’s color authority for media. “La Prairie is the pinnacle of what high-performance, luxury skin care is in this industry, and it is an enormous honor to be working with them in this expanded capacity. I look forward to taking my experience and expertise and servicing our global customer’s diverse beauty wants and needs,” stated Wade, and Lynne Florio, global brand president for La Prairie, commented, “It’s extremely exciting for our relationship with Raychel to evolve to a global level, and I am confident women around the world will benefit from her knowledge. Her passion for educating women on all things complexion-related is palpable.”
Additionally, effective May 1, Peter Gladel was appointed vice president, global brand marketing for the company, a newly created position. With this title, Gladel is responsible for strategic marketing, brand development and consistent messaging for La Prairie on a global level. He joined La Prairie in 2003, first working in Switzerland as the general manager for distributor markets until 2007, then functioning as the general manager of the Italian affiliate of La Prairie, based in Milan. Prior to La Prairie, Gladel held various marketing positions with L’Oreal and Coty Beauty.
As of June 4, Jeanne Chinard was appointed global creative director with La Prairie, also a newly created position. As global creative director, Chinard is responsible for creating, communicating and implementing the overall creative strategy, direction and vision of the brand. She brings to La Prairie a experience as both a copywriter and an art director, with previous positions at Ayer, Young & Rubicam and the Estée Lauder Companies. While with Estée Lauder Companies, Chinard managed the creative efforts of Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger, Prescriptives International and Donna Karan International.
Also effective June 4, Belinda Schwart was named director, creative operations, making her responsible for managing art, graphics, copy and promotional material projects. Schwart brings to La Prairie over 14 years of experience as a project manager in the cosmetics industry, most recently overseeing North America sales operations/marketing for Clinique.
As of June 18, Sandy Cordero was named director, operational marketing for the company. In this role, Cordero will build and implement strategies to meet the corporate objectives for sales goals and operational efficiencies. She joins La Prairie after 20 years with the Estée Lauder Companies, where she had held various operational marketing positions within Estée Lauder and Prescriptives brands.
In addition to the new hires, several North America team members segued to the global marketing department. This includes Sharon Osen, senior vice president, global brand strategy; Holly Genovese, vice president, training and motivation; Jaime Maser, vice president, public relations; Myriam Dupere, merchandising director; Donna Ford, director, product development and quality services; and Ye Jin Kim, design director.
