Henkel Challenges Students to Innovate for 2030 Products

Henkel AG & Co. KGaA has challenged students use their imagination to submit their product ideas for the Henkel Innovation Challenge. The fourth challenge is titled, "Vision 2030: Take a brand or technology into the future," and students are tasked to develop ideas for one of the company's three business segments: adhesives technologies, cosmetics and toiletries and laundry and home care.

The students must form groups of two to develop an innovative idea for a Henkel product or technology in 2030.They must either develop a product for cosmetics and toiletries or laundry and home care or invent a new application technology for adhesives. The idea must contribute to promoting sustainable development in at least one Henkel focal area. All students can participate, no matter what they study.

The contest consists of three rounds: submission, national finals and an international final. During the preparation phase of the national finals, the best tandems of every country will be supported by mentors. The mentors will be members of the Henkel management. These mentors will supply business with strategic and practical advice on how to develop an  idea.

The top three teams will travel to Henkel's headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany for a day and meet Kasper Rorsted, the company's CEO. The winning team will be awarded a ticket around the world and € 1,000 in travel vouchers.

The winners of the fourth challenge was Anna and Anna from the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland, who developed a product idea called Persil Oxygen (Poland).
