Salsify has released a new infographic, “Infographic: How Product Content Moves through E-Commerce.” Of the information, Salsify’s Emily Saka writes, “A surprisingly diverse group of people are involved in creating a new product and bringing it to market. People from product development, sourcing, marketing, creative, regulatory, finance, and sales all contribute to the effort. Coordinating the activities of each and every person is challenging, especially when it comes to information about the new product: attributes, specifications, images, videos, packaging details, marketing copy for different regions and channels.”

She also notes, “This infographic illustrates the collaborative, decentralized and iterative nature of product content creation and distribution in new product development and introduction.”
