FDA Holds Public Meeting to Prepare for ICCR Cosmetics Regulation

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will hold a public meeting on September 10, 2015 to receive input from the public on various topics pertaining to the regulation of cosmetics to help the agency prepare for the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation-9 (ICCR-9) meeting that will be held November 4-6, 2015, in Brussels, Belgium.

For more than a year, beauty industry organizations the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers And Distributors (ICMAD) have been working collaboratively with the FDA to create much-needed modernized and comprehensive federal regulations of the cosmetics industry for the first time since the 1960s.
