At the 2017 Premier Print Awards, hosted by Printing Industries of America (PIA) Diamond Packaging was awarded three awards, including two certificates of merit in the "Embossing/Debossing" category and a certificate of merit in the "Cartons, Containers, Boxes and Totes."

The two awards for "Embossing/Debossing" were given to Diamond Packaging for its 2017 butterfly-themed corporate calendar and for Iovate Health Sciences International's HydroxyCut Max for Women.

The award for "Cartons, Containers, Boxes and Totes" was given for the company's work on Elizabeth Arden's Viva La Juicy Sucré packaging (pictured above).

According to the company...

  • The carton was made using FSC-certified Iggesund Invercote G paperboard, cold foiled and offset with printed pink, transparent gold and process black inks, in-line with UV gloss spot coating
  •  The company chose Invercote G because it felt the paperboard had a smooth surface that would stand up to the printed images, foil stamping and embossing
  • The UV gloss was utilized to provide a contrast to the matte finish surrounding it
  • Silver cold foil was reportedly overprinted in-line with transparent gold ink and was added to the carton as embossed foil accents
