4Life Research, a Salt Lake City-based direct marketing company, in collaboration with Northwest Cosmetics Labs, selected Fusion Packaging’s Eclipse collection for two products in the Enummi Advanced skin care line. The brand opted for the 30 ml and 50 ml airless Eclipse bottles for the Renewing Serum and Amplify Hydrating Cream, respectively. The two packages feature a transparent actuator, which lends a clean, modern aesthetic to the polypropylene bottles and puts the pump technology on display. Fusion showcased the brand’s teardrop design using a matte silkscreen background layer behind rich purple text, which gives the packages a high-end look.
World Wide Packaging (WWP) developed two new customizable packaging options for customers in the beauty and personal care industry. The first is an architecturally alluring square tube with bold, sharp-edged design well suited for men’s products such as creams, lotions and gels. The tube’s upscale presence combines with highly flexible mold capabilities for a variety of closure choices, and pinpoint application registration during the manufacturing process is required to create the tube’s differentiating square shape. The other innovation is a fashionable lipstick case fitted with a mirror. Named Lipvue, the case can serve as primary packaging for a variety of lip care products. In Lipvue, WWP decorated a seemingly standard lipstick case with a valuable additional feature that is an intriguing value proposition.
Albéa announced the opening of its new facility in Suzhou, China, near Shanghai. The new facility is the only Albéa site to house the complete scope of the group’s core expertise—tubes, cosmetic rigid packaging (mascaras, lip gloss, compacts, bottles) and dispensing systems—each in a dedicated building. It also is highly automated, with integrated decoration and assembly capabilities.
Brazil’s football squad, the host team to the 2014 Fifa World Cup, has been traveling to matches in style this summer, thanks to Lindal Group’s aerosol packaging solutions. The company’s female RT valve and F/03 actuator powered the 1,200 cans of Montana Colors spray paint used to tag the team’s GOL Airlines’ Boeing 737.
Tullis Russell held a series of activities and fundraising events at its Markinch, Scotland, mill to celebrate its Employee Ownership Day.
