Training Opportunities, Safety Solutions, and More Beauty Packaging Launches and News for Early September 2013

TricorBraun recently licensed The Institute of Packaging Professionals’ (IoPP) online Fundamentals of Packaging Technology course. IoPP is providing TricorBraun with a secure, co-branded online portal that contains the company’s customized course catalog. The individual courses TricorBraun has placed in its catalog are available through its portal to preapproved employees at TricorBraun. Upon gaining access, these employees complete the packaging training on their computer screen, and the courses are accessible whenever and from wherever they wish.

Integrated Aluminium Components Ltd. (IAC) announced it will be exhibiting at Cosmoprof 2014 in Bologna, Italy, which takes place from the April 4–7, 2014, as part of the British Pavilion. IAC will be exhibiting in hall 30 next to the USA and Turkey as part of the British stand organized by Group UK Ltd. IAC specializes in the manufacture of aluminum components, such as lotion shrouds, actuator sheaths, lipstick sleeves and over caps extensively used in the perfume and beauty industry.

Orlandi, Inc., a New York-based marketing company specializing in fragrance and cosmetic sampling and the development of scented retail and promotional products, has now added to its print platform a seven-color Komori Lithrone offset printing press. This press is equipped with state of the art H-UV inks and coatings, which produce a more vibrant and brighter appearance and are 100% environmentally friendly. The new press will provide superior quality printing on a variety of papers as well as greater flexibility and efficiency for clients in the beauty Industry.

According to the company, its security materials use elements such as two-dimensional holograms and in-label watermarks and threads to help brand owners create clear marks that can assure consumers. The portfolio features customizable ultra-violet and infrared print options, enhanced thermal transfer graphic solutions, and chemical-resistant coating for liquid products.

Successfully launched in May 2013, HCT Europe provided a full service for Spanish department store El Corte Ingles' first private label makeup range. The All Intense collection collaboration encompasses both innovative formulations and striking packaging, and the comprehensive collection includes products for the face, lips, eyes and nails. Utilizing HCT's extensive stock library, the range was built around a geometric theme using a molded grey gloss finish. HCT's eye-catching Stealth range was reinvented in both the lip glosses and lipsticks. Smooth, streamline edges makes them perfectly portable and effortlessly sleek whiles reflecting HCT's knowledge in premium packing.
