Maesa P2 Acquisition to Boost Sales to $185 Million

Maesa Group’s total revenues are expected to reach $185 million in 2015 following its acquisition of European firm P2 Cosmetics (Vienna, Austria). Maesa is aiming for sales of $350 million by 2020.

P2 Cosmetics are sold exclusively at 1,800 DM drug stores. The company's more than 350 fragrance- and paraben-free SKUs feature an average retail price of €2.75 per product and are manufactured in Germany and France.

P2 Cosmetics will continue to operate out of Vienna under the brand’s current leadership team.

Under terms of the deal, Edmond de Rothschild's stake in the Maesa Group will rise from 20% to 25%. The balance is held by Maesa Group’s management team with co-founders, Gregory Mager and Julien Saada remaining majority shareholders.

Maesa Group’s portfolio also includes FLOWER for Walmart, CIRCA for Walgreens and ELLE for Monoprix.
