Changes for Beiersdorf's Emerging Markets Execs

Beiersdorf announced Ümit Subasi, its executive board member responsible for the emerging markets area since March 2011, is leaving the company on July 31, 2012 to pursue new ventures.

Consequently, as of July 1, 2012, Stefan De Loecker will become a corporate senior vice president with Beiersdorf, having responsibility for the Near East region, including Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa, and India. De Loecker graduated in business administration from the University of Antwerp and then worked for more than 20 years in a number of management positions both at home and abroad for Nestlé, Vevey. From 2008 to 2011, he managed the company’s businesses throughout the Russian Federation as CEO of Nestlé’s Russian subsidiary, and most recently, he worked for British retail group Tesco Plc.

Additionally, Patrick Kaminski has taken over as corporate senior vice president responsible for the operating business in the Far East region, including China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia, and Ulrich Schmidt will be responsible from now on for the Latin America region alongside his executive board duties.
