Actifirm Names New CEO

Actifirm, the Texas-based beauty and skin care brand, has appointed Hal Rose as its CEO. In his new role, he will oversee operations, brand positioning and strategic growth for Actifirm's business-to-business and consumer sales and marketing programs.

Rose brings more than 20 years of expertise with private growth companies, including within the U.S and international beauty and personal care industry. He has held leadership roles in business operations, development and financial investments, and joining the senior leadership with Actifirm and its sister company ActiTech in 2010, Rose also served with Active Organics, where he led the team in the sale of the company to Lubrizol in December 2011. In his work with Actifirm, Rose has led the development of its new website, the building of a new team, and development of several new products and sales and marketing programs, among other strategic growth programs.

"Hal is an ideal fit as our new CEO, bringing a diverse and invaluable combination of operations and leadership experience within the beauty and personal care sectors and beyond," said Actifirm founder and president Elysiann Bishop. "Hal also demonstrates a like-minded dedication to our commitment to research and development of cutting-edge and truly environmentally friendly organic products."

Rose has served as COO and in other senior executive and counsel positions for media, technology, business services and distribution companies, and has overseen the launch and development of businesses including more than $200 million in acquisitions. He previously was a founder of a firm providing outsourced general counsel and strategic business services to high-growth companies and private equity groups throughout the U.S., and began his career in the private practice of law for a top international law firm.

"I am thrilled and honored by the opportunity to elevate my role with Actifirm," said Rose. "We have created a strong platform for growth over the last few years, and I look forward to working with our talented team to continue to build for the future."
