Avon Seeks New General Counsel

Avon Products, Inc. announced that Kim Rucker, senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer, will be leaving Avon to become executive vice president, corporate and legal affairs at Kraft Foods North America. In addition, she will become general counsel and corporate secretary for Kraft Foods Group, Inc. and a member of the management team when the company is spun off later this year.

Sheri McCoy, Avon's CEO, said, "Kim has built and led a global legal organization that provides strategic legal counsel in partnership with our business leaders around the world. We thank Kim for her leadership, commitment and many important contributions to Avon. We wish her the best in her new role at Kraft as she and her family return to her hometown of Chicago."

With Rucker’s departure, Avon will initiate an external search for a new general counsel. McCoy and Rucker currently are working together on an interim transition plan for leadership of the company's global legal organization until a successor is named.

Rucker joined Avon in 2008, and will remain with the company until August 17, 2012.
