Posted: March 12, 2009

Revlon, Inc. announced that Alan Meyers will join Revlon as executive vice president, chief science officer, effective January 1, 2010. Upon joining Revlon, Meyers will assume leadership of Revlon's worldwide R&D functions, succeeding Neil Scancarella—Revlon's chief science officer since January 2000, and who is scheduled to retire in December 2009.

"We would like to thank Neil Scancarella for his excellent leadership and success as head of our research and development organization and wish him well in his retirement," said David L. Kennedy, president and CEO, Revlon. "We are thrilled that Alan Meyers will be joining us as head of our research and development organization. We are confident that Alan's expertise, strong background and broad experience will continue to strengthen and build Revlon's important research and development and product development activities."

Meyers has spent his career in cosmetics R&D in positions of increasing scope and responsibility with Avon, Elizabeth Arden and L’Oréal USA—serving most recently as senior vice president, R&D and consumer affairs for L’Oréal USA.

"I am delighted to join Revlon's senior executive team and to lead its worldwide research and development function," said Meyers. "I plan to build upon Revlon’s strong heritage of developing and marketing innovative products."
