The Estée Lauder Companies announced the appointment of Pamela Gill Alabaster to lead the company's global corporate responsibility function. In this role, Alabaster will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of The Estée Lauder Companies' global corporate responsibility strategy in alignment with the company's long-term business objectives.

"Corporate responsibility has been an important part of our company's success since its founding. As we continue to grow and prosper globally, it is critical that we continue to understand and serve the needs of our consumers, engage with the communities where we live and work, and leverage our collective talents in every brand, region and function to ensure our sustainable, profitable future," states William P. Lauder. "Pam's experience, perspective and leadership will be instrumental in the formal establishment and success of our Corporate Responsibility function, and I am delighted to welcome her to The Estée Lauder Companies."

Alabaster joins The Estée Lauder Companies from L'Oréal USA, where she held various senior leadership marketing and management roles, most recently serving as senior vice president corporate communications, sustainable development and public affairs. In her tenure at L'Oréal USA, Alabaster developed several key corporate functions including corporate media, public affairs and sustainable development and led the strategic brand marketing of the L'Oréal Paris and Lancôme brands in the U.S.

"The establishment of a formal corporate responsibility function will enable us to better integrate and drive more sustainable practices throughout the organization around the world," said Greg Polcer, executive vice president, global supply chain, The Estée Lauder Companies.

"Pam's insight and proven ability to successfully build strategic collaborations will contribute greatly to our global strategy in this important new function, and help to broaden our company's understanding and ability to deliver what our consumers, employees, shareholders, investors and other stakeholders expect from us," said Peter Jueptner, senior vice president, strategy and new business development, The Estée Lauder Comapnies.
