Kelly Dobos Named Vice President of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) has elected Kelly Dobos to the role of vice president-elect. Dobos, a technical manager for cosmetics at Sun Chemical in the Americas region, will assume her role as vice-president of the SCC in 2018 and will serve as president in 2019.

Dobos has been a cosmetic chemist for nearly 15 years and has expertise in both skin care and makeup formulation. She has a master’s degree of pharmaceutical science with a concentration in cosmetic science from the University of Cincinnati and received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Oberlin College. She has worked with Sun Chemical since 2014.

The SCC has over 4,000 members and its mission is “to further the interests and recognition of cosmetic scientists while maintaining the confidence of the public in the cosmetic and toiletries industry.
