The Sustainable Beauty Awards held in Paris, France awarded TRI-K Industries first runner-up overall and first place amongst ingredient suppliers for the Sustainable Ingredient Award for Baobab Tein NPNF (INCI: Hydrolyzed Adansonia Digitata Seed Protein).

Launched in 2014, this ingredient offers 5-in-1 anti-aging benefits to hair. The multi-functional oligopeptide was relaunched for skin care in spring of 2015 to defend skin from photo-aging. The company focused on choosing a supplier to provide a product that is sustainable and environmentally friendly, in addition to being sourced locally for communities living in harvest areas.

The company supports assisting societies and economic growth and maintains a partnership with a local South African organization, which gives women in underprivileged communities the opportunity to make a living by cultivating Baobab saplings and selling the fruit to market.
