COSi Restructures Board

COSi has restructured its board with three key senior appointments of CEO, CFO and executive chairman following the decision by David McLemore to step down as chairman—a post he held for five years.

McLemore will remain a director of the organization, the chairman role has been taken over by Bobby Tolan, the former CEO. As executive chairman, Tolan will focus on strategic opportunities and the further development of COSi’s international business base. Stuart Meldrum steps up from his previous role of group commercial director to become CEO, and Ran Oren has been promoted to CFO and director of COSi Holdings.

“During the past five years, we have undergone a considerable process of positive change and development, including attracting new customers, repositioning the company as a serious global player and reinforcing our reputation for innovation and quality,” said Tolan. “Stuart and Ran have been key to us achieving this success as well as ensuring that our future strategy is implemented effectively. We are all looking forward to continuing our growth and success. As Stuart, Ran and I work extremely well together, I’m confident that COSi will continue to expand, develop and innovate.”

Tolan joined COSi in July 2002 as COO and was appointed CEO in May 2003. Meldrum had held several positions in COSi including UK operations director and group commercial director, and Oren has been finance director of COSi since 2004.

The appoints completes the board restructuring, which began in October with the appointment of David Allen as director of global operations.
