The Body Shop U.S. Announces Expansion Plans For 2011

The Body Shop announced plans to launch body and facial skin care solution kits and products developed exclusively for Sephora stores and Sephora.com. The assortment includes exclusive 300 mL sizes of The Body Shop Body Butter.

“We’re thrilled to offer our customers greater access to our products,” said Phil Kowalczyk, president of the Americas, The Body Shop. “For some time now, our customers have told us they want more ways to shop The Body Shop. We currently have just under 300 boutiques across the U.S. A good number, but the U.S is a big country and there are customers who love our products but just don’t have ease of access to them. We believe The Body Shop products are a natural fit for Sephora’s clientele: women who care about high quality, high performing beauty products. We’re confident this is a winning partnership that’s both great news for our customers and great news for Sephora clients."

The Body Shop debuted a selection of its mini Body Butter collection in Sephora on Feb. 4, 2011, with an additional assortment of exclusive products and kits hitting Sephora.com on March 2, 2011. Products will roll out to 170 of 230 Sephora stores in March 2011.

“The demand for natural and ethical beauty products by beauty consumers has been growing rapidly,” said Margarita Arriagada, SVP of merchandising, Sephora. “We are excited to offer our clients exclusive products from The Body Shop, a brand that brings with it tremendous authority and credibility in this space.”
