Unilever Announces New Landfill Milestone

Nine months ago, Unilever achieved zero waste to landfills across its global network of 242 factories, which was believed to be a world first. On October 20, 2015, Unilever announced it has become a zero landfill company in Europe, meaning that in addition to its manufacturing facilities, no waste from Unilever owned or fully operated premises, logistic operations, distribution centers or offices foes to landfill in Europe.

Unilever announced its goal of becoming a zero landfill company back in January 2015, and European operations is the first to meet the goal.
