Gillette is kicking off its official partnership with Movember by inviting men and women to join Team Gillette. As part of Team Gillette, they can join a star-studded lineup of Movember supporters, including Kate Upton as team captain, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, New England Revolution defender Kevin Alston and many more.
Movember is the global men’s health charity encouraging men to grow and women to support the Mo (moustache) for the 30 days of November. Through the power of the moustache, funds and awareness are raised for men’s health to combat prostate and testicular cancer. Participants start Movember 1 clean shaven, which is something Gillette knows a bit about. After shaving down, they let their moustaches grow for the 30 days of November, getting friends, family and colleagues to donate to their -growing efforts.
“I’m so excited to be able to participate in this Movember,” said Team Gillette captain Kate Upton. “I know Team Gillette will be rocking some awesome Mo’s by the end of the month, and it couldn’t be for a better cause.”
“As a leading male grooming brand, we’re thrilled to be a major partner of Movember and to help men stay stylish while also raising awareness for important men’s health issues,” added Hooman Shahidi, senior brand manager, North America.
“Partnering with Gillette this year makes perfect sense,” said Mark Hedstrom, country director at Movember US. “Gillette is the leader in men’s grooming and shaving, so they’re a natural fit. We want men to grow their Mo’s, but we also want them to look good while doing good, and Gillette makes that happen.”
