About 51.5 million Brazilian consumers purchased products over the Internet in the last year, according to a new report from E-bit.

According to the firm, cosmetics, perfumery, personal care and health comprise 15% of those sales. This comes as a recent tax spike that has weighed down the Brazilian cosmetics market.

During the survey period, prices of cosmetics and perfumery rose 8.23%, hair shampoo rose 11.17% and body moisturizers increased 10.25%.
