New President, General Manager of Beauty Care for Henkel Russia

Sergey Bykovskih has been appointed president of Henkel Russia, effective January 1, 2013. He also holds the position of general manager of beauty care, Russia and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). Peter Günther, who previously headed the company in Russia, will assume the position of general manager of beauty care and laundry and home care, Henkel Canada, effective February 2013.

In 2005, Günther assumed responsibility as general manager of laundry and home care in Russia, and since 2007 has also had the additional responsibility of president of Henkel Russia. During his time in Russia, Günther has led the rapid growth of Henkel’s business in the very competitive Russian market. The company’s sales have doubled since that time.

Bykovskih has been working with Henkel since 1994, starting his professional career in sales and international projects departments in Germany. Since 2006, Bykovskih has been acting as vice president and general manager of beauty care, Russia and CAC region (Central Asia and Caucasus). Since 2011, his responsibility has been further extended to the whole CIS region, including Ukraine. He successfully implemented a business model for Russia and the CIS countries, resulting in market share gains and sustainable financial performance.

Henkel Russia is one of the major contributors to Henkel's total sales. “Based on our successful results in Russia we plan to further strengthen our leading positions in the markets,” said Bykovskih.
