Fragrance Foundation Names Award Recipient

The Fragrance Foundation announced that Vera Wang will be honored with the Hall of Fame award at the 2008 FiFi Awards & Celebration, to be held on May 20 in New York City.

“Vera Wang is, and continues to be, a tremendous influence in the fragrance industry," said Rochelle Bloom, president, The Fragrance Foundation. "Vera's contributions include the highly successful Vera Wang, Sheer Veil, Bouquet and Truly Pink fragrances—as well as the most recent introduction of Vera Wang Princess and Flower Princess. Throughout her career, Vera has been recognized for her significant achievements in fashion and on behalf of the entire fragrance industry, we are honored to present her with the prestigious Hall of Fame award.”

“It has been such a privilege to dress women in the invisible accessory called fragrance,” said Wang. “It creates such an emotional connection with both the woman and all who know her. Fragrance conjures up memories and remains a provocative reminder of the most intimate moments.”

The Hall of Fame award is voted on by The Fragrance Foundation’s board of directors, and is presented to an individual who has brought extraordinary ingenuity, dedication and inner resources to bear, not only on his/her company’s success, but to the fragrance industry as a whole. The FiFi Awards is an annual event to honor the fragrance industry’s creative achievements.
