Balenciaga and Coty Inc. Sign Fragrance License Agreement

Balenciaga S.A. and Coty Inc. announced an exclusive partnership to create, develop and distribute fragrance lines under the Balenciaga name. According to a press release, the partnership will renew the Balenciaga brand in keeping with its fragrance heritage, which first started in 1946 with the launch of the famous Le Dix.

"Coty is the perfect partnership for Balenciaga to re-express ourselves within the fragrance world and we are looking forward to an exciting collaboration," said Isabelle Guichot, president and CEO, Balenciaga.

"Balenciaga's meaningful heritage lends itself perfectly to Coty Prestige's designer portfolio and represents a strong strategic collaboration," said Michele Scannavini, president, Coty Prestige. "Balenciaga is a highly distinctive brand, as it embodies couture with a visionary style."
