A new consumer survey, “Scentiments: Scented Mind 2016,” from The NPD Group, suggests that consumers’ moods have a big impact on the fragrances that they choose to wear on a daily basis.

According to Sentiments, around 60% of the total U.S. population of men and women ages 18 and over will choose their fragrance based on how they feel. The survey explains that they see fragrance as an extension of their ever-changing emotions, and women are even more likely than men to choose scents this way.
