The Fragrance Foundation Partners with Moscow-based Firm

The Fragrance Foundation announced the formation of a partnership with Moscow-based The Perfumery Club. On Jan. 1, 2010, an agreement was reached between The Fragrance Foundation and The Perfumery Club to utilize the trademark FiFi Awards as part of the promotion and development of the fragrance industry in Russia. In addition, The Perfumery Club will create a board of directors, a calendar of programs and events in line with the core mission statement of The Fragrance Foundation and its International partnerships and licensees in France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

“We are delighted that The Perfumery Club is establishing itself as such a responsive and dynamic support to the blossoming Russian fragrance market and industry.” said Rochelle Bloom, president, The Fragrance Foundation.

The Perfumery Club started in 2004. Under the leadership of director Marianna Penkova, it has expanded the use, enjoyment and sales of fragrance to an eager market, according to a press release.

“We greatly look forward to implementing many more educational and informative programs, as well as presenting the exciting Russian FiFis,” said Penkova. “It’s encouraging to know that we can share resources from the U.S. and other countries around the globe, as this gives us a strong sense of belonging to a worldwide industry.”
