The second New York edition of ADF (Aerosol Dispensing Forum) and PCD (Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design) was held September 6-7 at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion. The 2018 edition will take place September 5-6 at the same location and will include a Packaging Innovations show for primary and secondary packaging, in addition to the Pentawards Conference and Pentawards Live.

Albéa has introduced the SP22 Panache Pulse, gentle spray technology for skin care and cosmetic applications such as facial moisturizers, anti-aging products, makeup fixers, conditioners, hair fragrances, body moisturizers, self tanners and even luxury deodorants.

The innovation offers thin droplets for a dry, airy mist, which can boost consumers' perception of formula penetration, ease and speed of application, and a fresh effect, according to the company's testing results. The spray format also boosts the luxury positioning and portability of product formats, Albéa says.

The Panache Pulse is currently in use in a number of products, including:

  • Aveda Shampure Thermal Dry Conditioner 3.4oz / 100ml

  • Estée Lauder Micro Essence Aquaceutical Mist 2.5oz / 75ml

  • Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Mist 5oz / 150ml

The XD11 Panache is designed to dispense a gentle, deep and long-lasting cloud of fragrance. According to the company, the XD! produces droplets "that are on average 33% lighter, 40% drier, twice as deep and six times longer-lasting." The spray technology can be applied to product formats such as luxury perfumes, moisturizing fragrances and hair perfumes.
