World Perfumery Congress 2012 Location Changes

The American Society of Perfumers (ASP) and Perfumer & Flavorist magazine (P&F), GCI's sister publication, announced that, in order to ease travel logistics and bring the industry together in a location with proximity to New York and New Jersey, the World Perfumery Congress (WPC) 2012 is relocating to the MGM Grand Hotel in Mashantucket, Connecticut, just 2.5 hours from Manhattan. The event will still take place June 12–14, 2012. Uniting the fragrance industry’s stakeholders, WPC 2012 will provide a forum to address key issues and strategies for future growth.

“It’s our pleasure to relaunch WPC 2012, the fragrance industry’s premier business and technical event,” says Jeb Gleason-Allured, editor of P&F magazine and program director of WPC 2012. “More than ever, as the fragrance industry gets back to business, innovative formulation, differentiating ingredients and technologies, engagement with regulators and NGOs, and market knowledge are a must. We look forward to fostering a value-driven program for ongoing innovation and success.”

Dennis Maroney, president of ASP, adds, “The cooperation between our organizations harnesses a combined 170 years of unique dedication to the fragrance industry and refocuses WPC on the ingredients, formulation and consumers of perfume and fragranced products around the world.”
