The annual HBA Global Expo, held this year from September 18-20, at New York’s Javits Center, represented a cross-section of industry influences. From personal care, wellness and cosmetics, to fragrance and the consumer environment, the event united the diverse elements that keep this industry’s wheels in motion. The awards dinner, held at the Marriott Marquis, was a highlight of the event. This year, GCI sponsored the Fragrance Marketer of the Year award. The inaugural award was presented to Procter & Gamble’s Dawn Simple Pleasures dish liquid with air freshener.
In conjunction with HBA Global Expo, GCI magazine presented its Fragrance Business 2007 conference, keynoted by Nicolas Mirzayantz, group president, fragrances, International Flavors & Fragrances. Speakers and attendees alike contributed to the conversation about where fragrance is headed in personal care, home fragrance and fine fragrance.
