Saks Fifth Avenue Launch For Her and For Him

Rahmé's latest scents are in keeping with the inspiration that has fueled Rahmé’s varied and diverse representations of New York neighborhoods.

First is the debut of Saks Fifth Avenue for Her and Saks Fifth Avenue for Him, its partner scent, which marks a new direction in upscale retailing, as the specialty store commissioned the Bond No. 9 perfumery to develop its destination scent.

Deborah Walters, senior vice president and general merchandise manager, cosmetics and fragrances, Saks Fifth Avenue, said, “Saks Fifth Avenue is excited to be collaborating with Bond No. 9 on Saks Fifth Avenue for Him and Saks Fifth Avenue for Her. This will allow our customers across the country to experience the quintessential Saks Fifth Avenue scent.”

Saks Fifth Avenue for Her is a classic gardenia eau de parfum, given a contemporary spin with the addition of sparkling jasmine, tuberose and vetiver, plus smooth vanilla. The all-white bouquet is said to capture the fashion-forward essence of Saks, while expressing the downtown chic of SoHo-based Bond No. 9.

The men’s scent is an elegant aqua, with Sicilian bergamot for coolness, cardamon, amber and cedarwood for warmth. It also contains a marine accord, as well as soothing guaiac wood from South America.

Both scents will be on counter on Sept. 1, 2007, exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue in the U.S. and at Bond No. 9’s four New York stores. The fragrances will also launch in Mexico City in November 2007, and there will be a Swarovski limited edition available for the holidays, featuring a geometric stone.

For those who cannot resist the charm of summer in New York City, Bond No. 9 has added the ubiquitous scent of Coney Island to its pantheon of perfumes. Combined in the contemporary gourmand fragrance are notes of margarita mix, melon and guava; plus chocolate, cinnamon and caramel, at the heart; and sandalwood, musk and vanilla for the base notes. The fragrance, launched in June, is sold at all Bond No. 9 stores as well as selected branches of Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Paris Gallery and Lane Crawford.
