With hordes of consumers constantly flocking to Walmart’s evolving beauty shelves, no one in the beauty industry (or anywhere else) can afford to ignore the king of retailers, according to HBA conference material. The panel will provide access to extensive quantitative and qualitative research about the Walmart consumer, as Alisa Marie Beyer presents the results of The Benchmarking Company’s landmark survey on “Women and Walmart,” outlining the story of the partnership between Walmart and Hard Candy that transformed the brand. Lauren Kahn, senior brand manager, Hard Candy, will add the brand’s first-hand perspective; and Carmen Bauza, vice president and divisional merchandise manager of beauty, Walmart—and credited as the woman who is transforming Walmart’s approach to beauty—will provide insights into the retailer’s approach to beauty and its consumers.
