Cosmoprof America to Host Beauty Brands, Buyers from Around the World

On track to continue its position in the U.S. marketplace as a premiere international beauty destination, Cosmoprof North America (CPNA) will deliver a strong international presence with exhibitors from 38 countries, eight official Country Pavilions and a contingency of foreign buyers from six different countries at the upcoming eleventh edition of the event.

The International Buyer Program serves as a liaison between international buyers and exhibiting companies. The program allows qualified buyers from abroad to attend the show and meet exhibitors with matching profiles. These one-on-one meetings take place on the show floor throughout the three-day event. The 12 buyers from countries including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, India, Mexico and Panama come to CPNA with the mission of finding new beauty products that they can bring into their own markets.

In addition to the International Buyer Program, domestic companies will be able to meet with a delegation of over 60 foreign buyers from eleven countries including Czech Republic, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Italy, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Thailand and Croatia. These buyers are guests invited through the U.S. Commercial Service offices coming specifically to meet with U.S. companies exhibiting at the event.

CPNA is recognized as an elite international platform within the U.S. marketplace, not only because of its high international visitor volume, but also because of its international exhibitor presence. The total number of international exhibiting companies and countries represented is higher than ever. There are 303 international exhibitors representing a total of 38 countries. There is a large increase of companies coming from countries like Japan, the U.K. and Spain, despite its current economic turmoil. Aside from individual international exhibitors, there will be eight Country Pavilions from Brazil, China, Colombia, Italy, Korea, Pakistan, Spain and Turkey. The Country Pavilions allow small- and medium-sized companies from within select markets to participate in CPNA with the objective of obtaining direct face time with distributors and retailers to secure distribution in the U.S. The support and counsel of Country Pavilions organizers allow these companies to take part in an international trade show event in the U.S. and obtain an understanding of the North American marketplace. Additionally, the presence of Country Pavilion organizers, who are representatives of foreign cosmetic industry associations on the show floor, allow U.S. manufacturers interested in those particular markets to gain market intelligence. This program illustrates the business opportunities that lead to new distribution for the exhibiting companies.

Cosmoprof North America will take place July 14–16, 2013 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
