ICMAD And NSF International Collaborate on Regulations Webinar

Concerns of cosmetic adulteration, mislabeling and counterfeiting have led governments and retailers to increasingly adopt internationally recognized the cosmetic GMP standard ISO 22716, among other requirements.

To help member of the beauty industry address such changes, the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) is teaming with accrediting organization NSF International to present the webinar “Emerging Cosmetic Industry Regulations and Trends” on February 13, 2014. Taking place from 2-3 pm EST online, the webinar will aim to educate attendees on matters including:

  • How to demonstrate compliance to ISO 22716 GMPs for cosmetic manufacturing, as well as other government and retailer requirements
  • How to substantiate label claims that win retailer business (e.g. 'free from' unwanted ingredients such as parabens and BPA)
  • How to capture a piece of the organic and natural cosmetics market through product certification
  • And how to understand FDA draft guidance on antibacterial soaps containing the active ingredients such as triclosan

This webinar also will provide an overview of regulations and trends that impact beauty, cosmetics manufacturing and marketing in 2014. Click here for registration information.
