The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) is hosting its annual Cosmetic Technical Regulatory Forum February 14–15, 2013, at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort in Newport Beach, California.

Sponsored by Cosmetics & Toiletries®, the event is designed to provide attendees with necessary and relevant information on current regulatory and legislative news for the beauty industry, including changes in federal and state landscapes, an update on California’s Green Chemistry initiative, and looks at what’s happening at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission, as well as information on how ICMAD with working to help shape legislation.

Additionally, other presentations will look at entering foreign markets, with specific examples and experiences discussed, and determining what consumers are looking for in today’s beauty marketplace.

“The ICMAD Cosmetic Technical Regulatory Forum is beneficial in helping beauty entrepreneurs better manage the complex product regulations our industry faces. The information and insight alone from our board members and industry experts is invaluable,” stated Pam Busiek, ICMAD president and CEO.
