Inspiration and Insights at Upcoming Packaging Innovations London Event

Beauty packaging will be "high lining" at Packaging Innovations London, co-located with Luxury Packaging and the Brand & Design Village, taking place at the Business Design Centre on October 1 and 2, 2013.

The show will feature its first ever Beauty Symposium, run in association with The Red Tree Consultancy. The high-level, yet highly practical line up of beauty experts will open the first day of the show to discuss, inspire, surprise and inform on how to accelerate growth and build a successful beauty business.

Stirling Murray, CEO and founder of The Red Tree and a leading international beauty brand consultancy, will be welcoming all visitors to the conference with an introduction to "Beauty packaging—The Glamour and the Glory!"

Helen Miller, former commercial director at Boots UK beauty businesses, will be sharing her insights into "The Seven Features of Highly Effective Packaging—A Retail View." Miller has extensive hands-on experience creating and managing beauty brands within the retail environment, and will be offering all attendees to the show the chance to enter a free prize draw to win a two-hour beauty businesses consultation.

Barny Macaulay, founder of The Future of Luxury and creative director at The Barn, will be exploring the significance of the human senses in "Can’t Touch, Can't Feel, Can't Smell: The Importance of Packaging in Engaging an Online Audience."

Judy Deuchar, ex VP of merchandising and planning at QVC UK and now founder of The Clifton Studio, an innovative global business strategy consultancy, will draw on her global brand experience when it comes to "Packaging—The Expression of Your Story."

Mark Fanthorpe, owner of Umbrella Design, a leading retail design consultancy, will be providing insight into "Persuasive Package Design: What to Do, What Not to Do, and How to Stand Out from the Crowd."

In addition, the show will feature major exhibitors such as DAPY Paris, GMUND, GF Smith Ltd, HH Deluxe Packaging, Connoisseur Creation, Faca Export, Favini, Cofima Products, AEC Packaging (UK) Ltd, Progress Packaging, Leo Luxe, Keenpac Ltd, Macfarlane Packaging and MNC Stribbons, who will all be showcasing their latest products and designs.

HH Deluxe Packaging, exhibiting at London PI for the second year running, will be showcasing exclusive luxury brands such as Benefit Cosmetics, Wedgewood, Suiss Programme, Gourmet Settings, Aromaworks, Yves Rocher and Coach.

A UK first, New Vision Packaging will be showing its new design range of packaging solutions for Sephora—a series of captivating beauty collections inspired by beloved Disney Princess characters entitled Disney Reigning Beauties.

Stephen Shortland, managing director at New Vision Packaging Limited, comments: “For anyone currently working on new product development projects, including skin care, cosmetics and male grooming, then look no further than this show to find the packaging suppliers you need. Everything is here and it is easy to get to in London, the heart of design and innovation.”

Another show first is Vetroplas, launching its new acrylic range of packaging at the show to offer UK cosmetic and personal care markets a premium alternative to glass containers.

There will also be a host of show features including inspirational learnShops seminars and the Big Packaging Debate, where a panel of packaging experts will debate whether "Online Sales Will Kill Packaging Design."
