Noveon Polymer Wins Innovation Award

[May 2, 2008]

Fixate Superhold polymer from Lubrizol Advanced Materials/Noveon Consumer Specialties has been awarded the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award in the hair fixative polymers segment of the personal care market.

The award recognizes unique design, degree of new end-user value-added attributes, ability to drive consumer claims important in styling, the degree of formulator acceptance of the novel technology and support services offered behind the technology. According to Frost & Sullivan, Noveon has shown innovation by launching a broad line of emerging products and technologies. One of the most commonly cited styling needs today is for stiff feel and firm hold. Beyond improving the feel of styling products during application, Noveon's polymer, according to its data, enhances hair shine through the incorporation of a proprietary silicone macromer in the polymer architecture.
