Be Green Packaging has announced its molded fiber packaging alternative to help differentiate CPG products.

The packaging company reportedly uses a blend of renewable, natural fibers to create custom packaging solutions, such as trays and inserts, that can be molded into a variety of shapes and are intended for consumer electronics, household chemicals, personal care, cosmetics, specialty foods, toys/games, hardware, health/fitness, wine/spirits and jewelry.

Be Green Packaging explained that the trays can be made in any Pantone color to support a company's branding. The surface of the trays is said to be "soft-to-the-touch" and will accept silk screen or laser inkjet printing, or a label.

David Gray, director of business development, Be Green Packaging, said, "Consumer pressure for marketers to reduce the amount of plastic that enters the waste stream has never been greater. However, CPG companies, still have to be able to protect and differentiate their products in a competitive retail environment. Be Green’s molded fiber packaging meets those objectives."

He continued, "Consumers are drawn to beautiful packaging, but they also want to know they are buying a product that has been packaged in materials that are kind to the environment. Our molded fiber packaging is compostable, recyclable and biodegradable."
