Description: For the holiday season, Guerlain selected Cosfibel Premium to create a gift box dedicated to its Shalimar fragrance offered as a limited edition for Sephora. For its first collaboration with the brand, the group created a majestic reproduction of the Taj Mahal to encase Shalimar’s 50ml eau de parfum. With a minimal design and an almost square format (155 x 160mm), this intense blue gift set was constructed from cardboard with a box covered in film-coated blue paper. Its cover is adorned with the silhouette of the Shalimar bottle created using embossing and hot stamping.
On its sides, printed logos create the effect of hot stamping. The base and lid are attached by a hinge made of reinforced paper and held together perfectly by a magnet when closed. The silhouette of the Taj Mahal is made from finely cut pearlized paper. At this stage, Cosfibel Premium worked to find a balance between the finesse of the décor and the technical possibilities of laser cutting. This part is applied by hand to the box’s lid at the edge of a thin groove and is finished without bending the paper. In the base of the lid, a midnight blue metallic film gives a sense of depth with a mirror effect. Delivered with a crystal PET case, the product is then packaged in Guerlain’s French factories.
