The Hut Group Acquires Language Connect

The Hut Group (THG) has acquired language translation company Language Connect, according to an article on www.prolificnorth.co.uk.

According to the article, Language Connect's current customer base is made up of over 900 organizations including, Thomson Reuters, Twenty-First Century Fox and Norton Rose Fulbright, as well as several of the world’s largest market research organizations. Language Connect has offices in London, New York, Singapore, Dubai, Munich and Melbourne.

The acquisition is meant to allow THG, which is focused on its international growth, to deliver a step change in its translation capabilities. The article states that THG's platform operates over 160 localized websites across 35 languages and 42 currencies, and receives over 500 million visits annually.
