Marc Speichert Named CMO Leader for L'Oréal

Marc Speichert has been named chief marketing officer (CMO) leader for the L'Oréal Group. Speichert joined L'Oréal USA in 2010 in the newly created role of chief marketing officer. Since then, under his CMO leadership, the U.S. businesses have led the way in capturing consumer intelligence and new business opportunities, taking advantage of new digital technologies. A CMO organization has now been duplicated in the company’s most strategic markets.

In his new international role, Speichert will now accelerate the U.S. success model globally. In the last three years, he has built the business case and implemented the CMO organization in the U.S., as well as actively contributed to the L'Oréal Group's strategic marketing governance.

Speichert will assume the global leadership of the CMOs in all the relevant countries. He will work with each of the L'Oréal geographic zones in defining their CMO priorities and roadmaps, their organization guidelines, and to functionally lead the growing CMO teams across the world. Additionally, he will take on the responsibility of animating the now established CMO board of the L'Oréal Group and secure the company's talent investment plans regarding all CMO functions, which include media and new media, consumer insights and consumer affairs, business analytics, CRM and e-business. Speichert will also work in close collaboration with L'Oréal's digital acceleration teams.
