New Head for La Roche-Posay

L’Oréal USA announced Angela Bennett has been named vice president and head of La Roche-Posay. With Bennett at its helm, the brand will continue to grow and develop to meet the needs of its consumer base.

A graduate of Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she earned a degree in business administration, Bennett brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked with many global brands and having established solid relationships with retailers nationwide. In her new position as head of La Roche-Posay, Bennett will continue to solidify La Roche-Posay as a leader in breakthrough skin care treatments and revolutionary technologies while respecting the heritage, foundation and spirit of the brand. Her specific charge will be to take La Roche-Posay into its next level of evolution, expanding its national retail distribution with a focus on sun care and acne consumers, as well as digital programs while furthering the brand’s support of its partnering dermatologists and retailers.

Before being appointed vice president and head of La Roche-Posay, Bennett held the position of vice president of marketing. She spearheaded strategic transversal marketing projects and retail expansion, as well as the development of the brand’s many product ranges, including Anthelios sunscreens and Effaclar acne treatments.

Prior to joining L’Oréal USA in 2002, Bennett spent four years in skin care treatment marketing for the Clinique brand at Estée Lauder. Upon arriving at L’Oréal USA, Bennett began her marketing career with Maybelline, spending three years working with major franchises within the brand in the face and color cosmetics categories. Building on her portfolio, Bennett continued to develop her marketing skills in the consumer products division of L’Oréal USA, where she worked on Garnier skin care for six years, playing an integral role in helping to launch Garnier skin care in the U.S. Most recently she served as head of Garnier Skincare Operational Marketing. In 2010, Bennett led the brand repositioning campaign, launching a new manifesto, technology platform and advertising strategy that helped fuel Garnier’s growth to where it currently stands as the No. 4 skin care brand in the country with its innovative launches.

“Angela has already been a great contributor to La Roche-Posay’s expansion amongst consumers and dermatologists alike,” says Mike Larrain, president of L’Oreal USA’s active cosmetics division. “She is a strong leader and a true asset; the entire division is very excited to have her on board.”
