Scott Hagstrom Joins Macadamia Beauty

Macadamia Beauty has named Scott Hagstrom chief operating officer.

In his new role, Hagstrom will be tasked with directing all market-facing departments, including professional services, customer service and sales. Priorities for 2019 will include the rollout of sampling programs, a stronger social and digital media presence, marketing and promotional programs across all retailers, salons and consumer touchpoints.

Hagstrom brings more than 35 years of personal care industry experience to the role, most recently as vice president, sales, professional division at Helen of Troy.

“Hagstrom is an inspiring leader,” said Macadamia Beauty CEO Henry Stein. “His deep expertise in hair care ensures Macadamia’s superior oil infused hair repair products will sell on more shelves worldwide, boosting our partner resellers' success and providing beautiful hair for consumers around the world.”

“I am looking forward to the future with Macadamia Beauty, especially since I am joining at their 10th anniversary mark,” said Hagstrom. “For 2019, we are looking to push for strong drives for distribution in the U.S. market and at the same time create heightened awareness of the brand and our award-winning formulas for damaged hair.”

Macadamia Beauty addresses four primary types of hair damage—chemical, environmental, thermal and mechanical—for a variety of hair textures, via a proprietary formula which incorporates a blend of omega-7 and other fatty acids found in macadamia oil. It is distributed in more than 80 countries.
