OPI Launches Virtual Tester

OPI announced the launch of the OPI Application for iPhone and iPod Touch, a free way for consumers to browse and search more than 200 OPI Nail Lacquer shades. The app also features a version of the brand’s Try It On Color Studio, allowing users to customize skin tone on the application to visualize how a color would appear on their hand before purchasing.

“With this new OPI App, customers can now try before they buy. Women can test our newest shades, experiment with bold colors or find the perfect lacquer in a particular hue,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, executive VP and artistic director, OPI. “Thanks to the portable aspect, women can even find a shade to match a prom dress, wedding gown, or pair of peep-toe shoes while shopping.”

The OPI App also includes a search bar with word prompt technology, so simply entering one word will proffer a list of likely matches. Features coming soon include accurate finishes (such as shimmer, cream, sparkle, frost, suede and matte), a salon locator with map, and a personal “drawer” for storing favorite OPI Lacquers.
