Active Ingredients Tracking Up in Non-Core Beauty Categories

Euromonitor International released a set of infographics for the growth of active ingredients in beauty, and particularly for their growth outside of the products they are traditionally included in. “Growth of Active Ingredients Outside of Core Categories” shows color cosmetics and sun care as growing non-traditional categories for active beauty ingredients.

Euromonitor notes, “As consumers continue to look for ways to save time and money, more product manufacturers are trying to cater for these needs. This has resulted in an array of one-size-fits-all products in categories, from color cosmetics with BB creams to the reaction of sun care induced by skin care cannibalization. The multifunctionality trend will keep pushing consumption of active skin care ingredients outside of their core categories.”
