Biolie Unveils 3 Colorful Extracts and More at in-cos Global

Biolie will be unveiling three colored extracts at in-cosmetics Global, to be held in Barcelona from March 31 to April 2, 2020. Pink, blue and purple colorants will be demonstrated in the company’s HydroPink and Hydroblue aqueous extracts. The company also will present its inside-out beauty concept based on certified organic beta carotene. Finally, it will highlight its Biolime ingredient aimed at pollution.

Biolime (INCI: Water (Aqua) (and) Propanediol (and) Citrus Aurantifolia Fruit Extract), is an aqueous active obtained from organic lime coproduct. It is extracted via an enzymatic process.

When used at 1%, the ingredient is able to protect cell DNA, as shown by tests in normal epidermal human keratinocytes (NEHK) in the presence of Urban Dust (UD)—the representative standard of the whole composition of pollution. The ingredient boosted ATP production by 30% in NEHK in the presence of UD, thus maintaining cell functionality.
