Cosmetics & Toiletries Announces Winners of R&D Awards—Asia

During the Awards Ceremony at in-cosmetics Asia, held Oct. 30, 2013 at 18:30, Cosmetics & Toiletries announced the winners of its R&D Awards—Asia. Sederma was given the Best New Ingredient Award for Beautifeye, while P&G was given the Most Creative Application Award for its SK-II Stempower Essence.

Beautifeye is an active ingredient that targets sagging of the upper eyelids by: 1) strengthening the dermal structure and increasing its contractile properties, and 2) consolidating the microvascular network and reducing pigment accumulation.

SK-II Stempower Essence boosts skin’s inner resilience for bouncy looking skin with less visible pores. The product contains artichoke extract  combined with the company's SK-II Pitera ingredient, which activate the Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) in the cytoplasm of keratinocytes, promoting anti-oxidation and SIRT1 activities.

Runners up for the Best New Ingredient Award included Induchem for Neodermyl R and Contipro for Delacore. The runners up for the Most Creative Application Award included AmorePacific for its Sulwhasoo Microdeep Intensive Filling Cream and Patch and Shiseido for its Total Future Solution LX.
