Gattefossé Highlights Trend-driven Concept Formulations

For the second year in a row, Gattefossé has released Inspiration, a tool intended to showcase that latest formulation textures and ideas. 

This year's version of Inspiration comprises two topics—"Out of This World" and "Into the Fun"—that highlight new uses of Gattefossé's ingredients. 

Out of This World

A theme focused on outer space and cosmos, which introduces three new "alien textures."

• Milky Way 2056: A natural body milk with a glossy texture meant to repair and moisturize the skin. Key ingredients include Emulium Mellifera MB (INCI: Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate (and) Jojoba Esters (and) Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax (and) Cetyl Alcohol); and 

  Gatuline Skin-Repair Bio (INCI: Alcohol (and) Water (aqua) (and) Onopordum Acanthium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract).

• Moon Mask 2040: A mask with a bubbling texture intending to revitalize and protect the skin. Key ingredients include EnergiNius (INCI: Fructose (and) Glycerin (and) Water (aqua) (and) Withania Somnifera Root Extract); and Emulium Kappa MB (INCI: Candelilla/Jojoba/Rice Bran Polyglyceryl-3 Esters (and) Glyceryl Stearate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate).

• Unidentified Formulation Object 2134: A highlighter meant to leave a soft glow on the cheeks. According to Gattefossé, the liquid highlighter's sparkling color disappears on application, leaving the aforementioned glow behind. Key ingredients include Plurol Stearique MB (INCI: Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate); and Gatuline Radiance (INCI: Propanediol (and) Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit Extract).

Into the Fun

A theme focused on the fun and playful side of the beauty industry and introduces three new textures.

• Fake Paint 2132: According to Gattefossé, Fake Paint can be used a day cream for the lightest skin tones or as a mask for other skin tones. A presumably thick cream, the company likens its texture to gouache. Key ingredients include Emulium 22 MB (INCI: Tribehenin PEG-20 Esters).
• Banana Peel 2098: A massage cream that is "as slippery as banana skin... with the smell of our childhood sweets." Key ingredients include Lipocire A SG (INCI: C10-18 Triglycerides).
• Gummy Mint 2133: A foot care product meant to combat dry feet. Key ingredients include Emulium Delta MB (INCI: Cetyl Alcohol (and) Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-75 Stearate (and) Ceteth-20 (and) Steareth-20).
