In order to enrich the governance structure of the management of Kanebo Cosmetics Inc. and its group companies, Kao Corporation, whose president and CEO is Motoki Ozaki, established a new chairman position for the board of directors of Kanebo Cosmetics Inc.
Hiroshi Kanda, the representative director and executive vice president of global consumer products, Kao Corporation, is planned to be inaugurated for this part-time position. The formal announcement of this newly established position, as well as Kanda's inauguration, is scheduled after the meeting of the board of directors' resolution, following the annual general meeting of shareholders of Kanebo Cosmetics Inc. to be held on June 9, 2010.
