Silab has been recognized by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its combating of climate change.

The company achieved an A-rating, due to actions such as its 2018 creation of an internal carbon fund. After setting a price per ton of CO2 emitted by the company, around €100,000 of specific projects designed to reduce its carbon footprint have already been funded; the same amount is planned for 2019.

“Nature is our source of inspiration and our main resource of raw materials,” said Xavier Gaillard, deputy general manager for strategy. “It is therefore our duty to strive continually to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment and protect biodiversity. We are honored by this rating and keen to share it with all the Silab teams who work day by day to achieve environmental excellence.”
