World Wide Packaging displayed a range of packaging innovations at MakeUp in New York, including the Fourplay mini kit, Lash 180° and Winsome Warrior eye shadow palette, as well as its turnkey manufacturing capabilities (market trending, research and product development, formulation, filling, and primary and secondary packaging).
The customizable Winsome Warrior eye shadow palette features distinctive arrowhead shapes and a faux birch wood insert for a feminine design that evokes strength.
The ergonomic Lash 180° brush features a triangle design that can be held vertically to subvert typical mascara application techniques. The company's custom formula, which is EU and US compliant, comprises vitamins and amino acids to strengthen and fortify lashes.
The Fourplay mini kit offered a pocket-sized format comprising four customized eye shadows, eyeliners, lipsticks or lip liners. The interlocking system is perfect for on-the-go consumers and allows shades to be purchased separately or in sets.
Asquan presented a range of novel and portable packaging concepts for the lips, including the ergonomic Arrivalist for lip gloss or liquid lip products (size: 93.6 x 23.7 x 20.3 mm; fill: 3.5 ml; cap: ABS +AS; bottle: PETG) and the Bunny Lip Kit, comprising mini lipsticks slotted into a thick-walled clear carrying case.
Asquan also presented the Duo Express Lip concept, which can also be used for contouring formulas, and the Slim & Chic Liquid Lipstick hourglass double-ended lip pigment and dark tinted overglaze.
The company also displayed the suction-cup-based Sucker Punch for color cosmetics and the Hourglass brush for exfoliating and stimulating the face and throat, combined with cooling Zamac tip, for crème application and massage.
Asquan also presented a hypoallergenic vegan brush collection in a 100% biodegradable cork pouch. The brushes are safe for sensitive skin and easy to clean, according to the company.
Coverpla Inc. presented Reboul's patented, French-manufactured R3000 five-piece lipstick mechanism, which is "designed to ensure long-lasting comfort," according to Reboul. The design requires no glue or lubricant between the interior spiral and exterior metal body, which can be customized in anodized aluminum, polished brass varnish and steel. The R3000 is reportedly optimal for the industrial filling process, while the omission of lubricants or glue enhances the components' recyclability.
C&C Cosmetics, a leading Korean manufacturer, presented innovations such as color-changing lipsticks and the 3D Face Stick (pictured), which is ergonomically designed to contour to the cheek bone for blushers and similar products.
